Not just see the beauty of Yangshuo but interact with the people there

This trip will offer you an opportunity to see the most beautiful scenery in the Guilin area in a unique way and to experience personally local people’s life you have never had before.

Day 1: Guilin Arrival

When you arrive at Guilin International Airport, you will be met by the tour guide from Guilin and transferred to a hotel in Guilin Hotel. You’ll have free time for the evening.

Route 2: Daxu, Caoping and Xingping Historic Villages

After breakfast at the hotel and prepare your lunch box, you will check out and start your cycling tour. One hour later, you arrive at Daxu, a small town built in the Ming Dynasty as a local market on the Li River. Near the riverside, you can see a narrow street, paved with big slates on the surface, cutting through old houses made by wood and bricks with ancient characteristics. Passing through here, you continue your cycling along the Li River.

After about two hours, reach the area near Caoping Village and follow a small mountain track with views of the Li River. Continue for approximately 30 minutes to a shaded spot among chestnut trees for lunch. Ride on for about three hours to Xingping, a historic riverside town, and stay overnight at the Post Hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 3: Yuncun Ancient Village and Yangshuo

Enjoy a free morning to walk around Xingping and take photographs, or join an optional boat trip to Yucun, a historic fishing village visited by President Bill Clinton in 1998. After lunch, cycle about 26 kilometers to Fuli to see local crafts and village life. Cross the river by ferry and follow a winding path to Yangshuo. Stay at the New Century Hotel or West Street Hotel. In the evening, explore West Street’s cafes and restaurants. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Route 4: Aishan, Yongcun, Lexiang, and Moon Hill Villages

Cycle approximately 28 kilometers from Yangshuo through Aishan, Yongcun, Lexiang, and Moon Hill Village. Stop at a local farming family’s home for dinner. In the afternoon, visit Moon Hill and the Big Banyan Tree. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Route 5: Baisha, Yulong Bridge,Jiuxian and Jima Villages

After breakfast, cycle toward Baisha, whose name means “white sand.” Leave the main road for a smaller track leading to the historic Yulong Bridge. Continue along the river to Jiuxian and Jima villages, and have lunch at a local farming family’s home. Return to Yangshuo in the afternoon and stay at the New Century Hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 6: Yangshuo and Guilin Departure

Have free time at Yangshuo. Transfer to Guilin Airport

What to refine before booking

Protect the travel days

Review the full hotel-to-hotel transfer for every intercity leg. Avoid relying on a flight or train arriving early enough for a tightly timed major attraction unless the final schedule supports it.

Choose a comfortable pace

Confirm stairs, slopes and time on foot. Ask which optional visits can be shortened or removed, and where an additional night would make the biggest difference.

Make inclusions explicit

Request the actual hotel and room choices, guide language, vehicle arrangements, admission coverage, meals and any activity-specific support in the written quotation.

Compare another approach

For a more spacious route, explore the original journey briefs in our national and regional collections. These show overnight allocations, transfer days and the tradeoffs behind each route.
